New arrivals – limited Spitfires, fresh diorama subjects and plenty of extras for demanding modelers
The end of summer brings a real flood of new releases. Our store has just received highly anticipated aircraft kits, armored vehicles, figure sets, workshop tools and rare collector’s items. Below we highlight some of the most exciting directions worth checking out right away – the full list of products is displayed under this article.
Spitfires galore – IBG editions and accessories
The highlight of this wave is IBG’s limited Black Box edition: two complete Spitfires Mk.I and Mk.II in 1:72 with extensive extras and a wide range of painting schemes – perfect for modelers who like to have “everything in one box.” Alongside it comes the reconnaissance Spitfire PR Type A/B/E Cotton Club 1939–40 with bonus 3D printed wheels. IBG also released a variety of dedicated accessories: resin exhausts (“initial” and “standard” with brackets), a 3D printed cockpit structure insert for the PR variant, as well as painting masks for Mk.I/Mk.V/PR. On the ground vehicle side we now have the light Pz.Kpfw. II Ausf. a1 in 1:35 and the British Bedford MWD in 1:72, while aviation dioramas from September 1939 are complemented by the Polish Pilot and Ground Crew 1939 figure set in 1:32.
Dioramas with character – MiniArt adds atmosphere
MiniArt continues to expand into unusual and “cinematic” themes. Highlights include the American Gangsters figure set, the realistic Land Utility Tractor Standard N (1935), and the large diorama kit Dresden 1945 – T-34/85 Field Repair for urban scenery lovers. Also on offer is the late production Raupenschlepper OST RSO/01 and the U.S. Infantry Tank Raiders Set 2. In 1:48 scale, aircraft fans can enjoy the advanced P-47D-11RE “Zemke’s Wolfpack”.
Polish and contemporary highlights – Answer, Fine Molds
Answer offers a strong historical lineup in pre-order: three versions of the RWD-13 (September 1939, Spanish Civil War, and Polish Civil Service), plus agricultural workhorses – the PZL/AVA M18 Dromader in several versions, and the CASA C295M in Brazilian and Mexican markings. Fine Molds, on the other hand, delivers a line of classic 1:72 jets – F-14A VF-2, F-4N “Gray Ghost”, the anniversary F-2A JASDF and F-4B VF-84 – as well as two 1:48 scale Mitsubishi A7M Reppu variants. An unusual addition is the 1:20 US Army ¼-ton truck with trailer and detail sets for the F-15 and IJN ships in 1:700.
Heavy firepower and tools – Tamiya, Hobby Boss, Airfix, Bronco
On the armor side we see the return of the American M36 Tank Destroyer from Tamiya, while Hobby Boss introduces the modern Archer FH77BW L52 artillery system. Airfix surprises with something out of the ordinary – the SR-N1 hovercraft in 1:72 – and Bronco expands both ways: space exploration (Chang Zheng-1D rocket) and classic German softskins (Krupp Protze Kfz.70). For the workshop, Tamiya presents new non-scratch long nose pliers – gentle on parts and precise in tight spaces.
For modelers striving for the most faithful reproduction
This update is rich in precision add-ons. IBG offers a wide line of 3D printed parts (cockpit inserts, exhausts, wheels) and practical painting masks for Spitfires. Added to this are new 1 Man Army painting mask sets in large scales – for the Boulton Paul Defiant, Messerschmitts, and the Focke-Wulf. These are cut from self-adhesive paper (not decals) and help achieve clean paint separations, markings, and camouflage nuances.
And finally – experimental projects
Collectors of unusual aircraft will enjoy the cherry on top: the Messerschmitt P.1101 from Das Werk in 1:32. This prototype jet is a rewarding subject for advanced weathering and subtle metallic finishes.
And this is just a fraction of the fresh arrivals – the full list of kits, accessories and tools is displayed below the article. Happy building!
