Have some holiday fun and use our weekly promotion for Takom, Hobby 2000 and Fujimi to choose something to assembly during the hot summer days! :-)
Another delivery of new items have just hit our shelves: Airfix, Zvezda, Special Hobby, ICM, HK Models, Heller and Revell. There's also a new issue of Ammo by Mig Weathering Magazine. It's focused on model kits imitating their burned down counterparts. As this is extreme weathering - there's a lot of room for learning various techniques that might be helpful in other projects as well! Mr.Hobby broadened their Mr Surfacer range further by adding Mr Finishing Surfacer in pink colour - recommended for figures and red colours. They also introduced spray cans of Mr Surfacer Aqueous, which seems to be very similar in their properties to their H line paints. Hataka also broadened their 10ml B line of paints by several colours
It's a rather slow and unassuming week for news in the model world so only a few novelties in our offer. From Border Model came a new incarnation of Leopard 2 A5/A6 in 1/72 scale. It's a beautifully detailed and cast model kit which can be a pleasure to build albeit - quite small for some. There has also been a restock of some Border tools along with new ones like e.g. very handy and good looking modelling clamp/holder in 3 colour variations. Master Box on the other hand continues their S-F themed figure series in 1/24 scale. Two new figures are available one of which is quite scantily clad Ms mechanic/engineer. Jumping back to 1/72 scale - Hobby 2000 released another A4 Skyhawk - this time its E variant. Also in this scale there are two new F-14 model kits from Great Wall Hobby. There also has been some movement in 1/35 scale with LARC amphibious vehicle, another variant of British ATMP and a nicely moulded a whole pile of US jerry cans - perfect set for a diorama!
We've launched new film series on our Youtube channel! "Brand New(s)" are films focused on single model brand, which gives a condensed info about them. Quick look at the box's contents and their key features.Quick look at their products and their key features. Great opportunity to familiarize yourself with products of a given brand that might be less popular and less featured over the Internet. As always - we've included English subtitles. Don't forget to write in the comments what you think about our new series!
Current week gives a great opportunity to stock up on the highest quality Japanese model kits, tools and other modelling consumables from Tamiya - at a very good prices! We also have a nice discount on the industry's best 1/700 scale warhips from Flyhawk for all miniature shipwrights! Also for the fans of modern jets in 1/48 scale we have a -12% on the Kinetic models! This promotion lasts from 19th to 25th June!
Arma Hobby released a second boxing of their 1/48 scale P.11c. It is now a "model kit" version, which gives us two painting schemes and a small PE fret. Also a 1/72 scale Hurricane in new boxing was released. Miniart also released some interesting novelties. It's a German D8506 tractor with a trailer, Syrian T-34/85 and British Austin armoured car in German, Finnish and Austro-Hungarian service. They also released some kits with further diorama accessories. All mentioned items are of course in the most popular 1/35 scale. Some new aircraft model kits were released by Dora Wings: Bloch MB.152C.1 in 1/72, Seversky J9 and P-43B/C Lancer in 1/48 scale. Also - new in our catalogue are models from Hobby Park. Those kits were not that long ago released under the Parc Hobby name, but their story reaches much deeper...
This week features five brands that are on our weekly promotion list! Happy shopping! :-)
There has been a lot written about scale model making. For some it's a way for spending spare time, for others a sports discipline (if we're talking about radio-controlled model kits) and it constantly evolves. Speed of this evolution which happened since 2008 until today is very similar to the speed in which today's computers develop. There is rarely a week in which no new model kits, aftermarket detail sets or some kind of tool or paint isn't announced. Companies are in a state of permanent arms race with their products that deliver to the modelling market more and more new goods which facilitate working in our hobby. The choice is huge right now and it's growing bigger and bigger each day!
The Su-22 airplane, though now being obsolete, has its place in the history of Polish aviation. Many modellers have some sentiment for this machine, so we hope that this article presenting the step by step building and painting process of Kitty Hawk's Su-22 UM 3-K in Polish livery with warthog's head on the nose would be a pleasant lecture. Below's the first part of our guide build, written and photographed by Piotr „Słoma” Słomiński - as usual with top notch photographs and a handful of useful modelling advice.
Our warehouse received new model kit in 1/48 scale from Amusing Hobby! It is a Weserflug P.1003/1 so an aircraft for fans of prototypes and cancelled projects. Also - SF fans might find it interesting. We have also received new items from Kinetic: Israeli F-16C and Mirage 2000D. Both kits in 1/48 scale. There have also been restocking of Tamiya paints and while being at it - one novelty is a completely new model kit of mid-production Sd.Kfz.2 Kettenkraftrad in 1/35.
Many of you, who would like to start making scale plastic model kits ask a question "Where do I start?" On the one hand there's a question of necessary tools, glues, paints etc. and on the other - a difficult decision which model kit to buy. It is always worth starting from choosing something from our field of interest. Model shops are full of kits appropriate for modellers of any skill level. As such it's worth considering what type of model kit interests us and we'd like to see completed on our shelf and then choose a fitting set. Of course we can change it anytime we want, or if we didn't enjoy building some types of model kits. Find out more below in our article.
This week's promotion includes AFV Club, Meng and Italeri, whose model kits you can get -12% off their regular price. It will last from 5th to 11th June. Happy shopping!
Warning, bombers incoming!!! To be more precise - Lancaster bombers in 1/48 scale from HK Models. One of the biggest existing model kits in 1/48 scale is now available in our offer. However if you find this model too big for your liking then maybe some British carrier planes in 1/700 scale from Flyhawk would suit your taste? Besides those airplanes we also have, in the same scale, model kit of SMS Lützow battlecruiser in a special edition boxing. There was also a large delivery of aviation model kits from Kovozavody.
Today we have something for modellers who fancy model cars and warships. Well known Revell of Germany introduced to their offer 1/24 scale models of cars from "Fast and Furious" movie. They have prepared four sets that feature Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Charger, Plymouth GTX and Mitsubishi Eclipse. Also they added some other car models like e.g. Volkswagen T1. There is also a lot of novelties from Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. There's a lot of cars, but also some warships in 1/350 and 1/700 scale, details sets for ships and even some Japanese castles. Among all those new items, you can even find some new airplanes and vehicles.
We received new kits from Das Werk, Pit Road, Heller and Eduard. German Rammtiger is probably one of the weirdest AFV's from the WWII era. Only one was produced and we wonder why... Thanks to the Das Werk you can make this vehicle in 1/35 scale to put it on your display. Will it become a centerpiece of your armour collection is, on the other hand, a matter of taste :-)
