Fans of TT and H0 scale railways can look forward to several exciting new arrivals. Robo has released new versions of the famous SM42 diesel locomotive, while PIKO has announced a special anniversary freight wagon celebrating 100 years of Polish State Railways.
The Legendary SM42 in TT Scale
The SM42 is one of the most iconic diesel locomotives ever operated by PKP. For decades these versatile machines handled shunting duties as well as local freight and passenger services, becoming a familiar sight across Poland's railway network.
Robo's latest releases include two different prototypes. The first model represents SM42-807 assigned to DOKP Północna and the Toruń depot during Epoch IV. The second depicts SM42-843 in service with the Katowice Rolling Stock Department during Epoch V. Both locomotives are available in standard analogue versions as well as fully equipped DCC Sound editions.
Analogue and DCC Sound Versions
The DCC Sound models feature factory-installed digital decoders with realistic engine sounds, horn effects and additional operating functions, providing an even more authentic railway experience. Thanks to their detailed construction and accurate liveries, these models are suitable for both collectors and operating layouts.
100 Years of PKP Anniversary Freight Wagon
Alongside the Robo releases, pre-orders have opened for a special PIKO H0 freight wagon commemorating the 100th anniversary of PKP. Anniversary models are highly appreciated by collectors as they celebrate important milestones in railway history and often become sought-after items.
Available Now and Open for Pre-Order
The new Robo SM42 locomotives are now available, while the PIKO anniversary wagon can be ordered in advance. Together, these releases offer an excellent opportunity to expand a collection with iconic examples of Polish railway heritage.
