Here's the second part of "How to build a Spitfire model kit" guide. Plastic kit of Spitfire airplane in 1/48 scale was made by Piotr "Słoma" Słomiński. In this part he'll show you the whole process of painting the kit.

Step by step build of a Spitfire plastic model kit in 1/48 scale.

Piotr "Słoma" Słomiński needs no introduction. A great modeller, best known for his very detailed airplane and warship model kits this time build a kit for us! It is a Spitfire Mk.IX in 1/48 scale made by Eduard. Read the first part of our step by step build guide, where this experienced modeller shares with you some of his techniques.:

Toro Model made a limited quantity reissue of their resin PZL P.7 model kit in 1/48 scale. This edition additionally includes a photoetched fret metal gun barrels from Master. We only have a few of them, so if someone wants to put it beside the P.11 - you'd better hurry! We also added to our shop all of the new items prepared by Eduard for May. We also received some novelties from Revell among which are a fire engine with ladder in 1/24 scale, Sea Vixen airplane in 1/72 scale and two sets of American space shuttles. Also there are new, limited sets of Hurricanes and Wildcats in 1/72 from Arma Hobby with some very interesting painting schemes!.

We have just received a delivery of ship model kits and accessories in 1/700 scale from Flyhawk. New products in our offer are the British carrier HMS Illustrious and the destroyer HMS Jupiter. Illustrious has been released in two versions, basic and deluxe that includes a package of photo-etched plates and barrels. In our offer you will also find separately a deck and a paint mask dedicated to the model.

More news in our store. Deliveries from ICM, Zvezda, Aoshima and Hataka have arrived. The most interesting novelty is probably British Leyland truck, 1/35 scale model from ICM. The first version was released without doors and with a Another interesting new product is FCM 36 tank in a set with figures, Ford T 1917 car with Vickers machine gun and a set of Soviet rocket launcher service figures on the truck (all in 1/35 scale). ICM released also a set of BF-109 and Hs-126 planes along with figures of pilots and ground personnel in 1/48 scale. 1/32 scale is represented by a set of Italian pilots in tropical uniforms. Zvezda has prepared its own 1/35 scale model of Russian Typhoon-K truck. The kit is accompanied by a set of Soviet soldiers from the Battle of Berlin in 1/72 scale and a 1/144 scale model of Airbus A320neo passenger plane. We have also received new Hataka paint sets useful for modelers passionate about WWII Luftwaffe aircraft and modern Swedish and British airplanes. Enthusiasts of car models can appreciate new Aoshima model kits in 1/24 scale: Lamborghini Murcielago, Volkswagen Beetle, Mitsubishi Lancer and a few more.

This week we have received a large supply of paints, weathering products and other modeling solutions, tools and books from AK Interactive and Abteilung 502. The most interesting novelty is FAQ guide on figure painting techniques. The huge publication is 488 pages long and contains a lot of advice and practical tips for figure modelers. The new issue of Aces High magazine focuses on training aircrafts. We have also received new AK brushes made of the highest quality Kolinsky bristles. They are available individually or as a set. We have got also new modeling tweezers from AK Interactive that look like a high-end product. Shiny surface, pointed tip and perfect fit make them suitable for the smallest parts. The new AK tools include also stirrers, a tool for shaping PE parts, thin aluminum sheets or other malleable metals and a painting stand. Acrylic modeling paints in tubes has come as a novelty from Abteilung 502. For now, we have imported sets of paints, if these products meet your interest we will also introduce single paints to our offer. Hobby 2000 continues to release aircraft models with their own new decals and moulded parts from well-known manufacturers. The new models in their offer are both P-40 Warhawk in 1/48 scale. Hobby 2000 offers two kits in two different paint schemes with molding parts from Hasegawa. The P-47M Thunderbolt model appeared in 1/72 scale for a change. Also two sets were released, differing in the proposed decals. Another new 1/72 scale model is the TBM-3E Avenger plane. The manufacturer also re-released the Beaufighter Mk. IF / IC and Beaufigther set with Macchi Mc.202 in 1/72 scale.
