Description
Orks – Runtherd and Gretchin for Warhammer 40,000
Gretchin mobs, or Grots, are the smallest and most cowardly of all Orkoid breeds. They are sneaky, conniving, and far more interested in hiding than fighting. Left to their own devices they’d flee every battle, but under the watchful eye – and heavy hand – of a Runtherd, they’re driven onto the battlefield to do the dirty work that real Orks can’t be bothered with.
Set contents:
- 10 multipart plastic Gretchin miniatures in varied poses
- 1 multipart plastic Ork Runtherd miniature
- 12 Gretchin head variants and 2 Runtherd head variants
- Bases: 10 × 25mm, 1 × 32mm
Assembly and painting:
This Citadel plastic kit allows you to build a chaotic mob of Grots, each with its own unique look. The Runtherd comes with different head options and implements of discipline – ready to keep the little gits in line. These miniatures require assembly and painting. We recommend using Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints for best results.
Required tools:
- Hobby knife or clippers
- Files or sanding paper
- Plastic cement (such as Citadel Plastic Glue)
- Detail brushes
- Citadel Colour acrylic paints (or other compatible paints)
About the Orks:
The Orks are the loudest, rowdiest, and most war-hungry race in the galaxy. They live for fighting, explosions, and mayhem. Gretchin – or Grots – serve as their slaves, ammo-carriers, and expendable troops. Though cowardly and weak, their sheer numbers and sneaky nature make them a dangerous nuisance. A Runtherd keeps them in check with shouts, kicks, and whips, ensuring that at least some of them point their guns in the right direction before running for cover.
About Warhammer 40,000:
Warhammer 40,000 is the iconic tabletop wargame set in the grim darkness of the far future, where there is only war. Players collect, build, and paint armies of humanity, aliens, and daemons, commanding them in battles of strategy, luck, and heroism. In the Orks’ case, it’s usually more about explosions, noise, and a good scrap!
About the manufacturer:
Games Workshop is the world’s leading creator of miniature wargames, including Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Citadel miniatures are renowned for their high quality and attention to detail, allowing hobbyists to bring the humour and brutality of the 41st millennium’s greenest warriors to life.
