The Roco 42518 is a G1/2 straight track (115 mm long) equipped with a built-in potential-free switching contact (sensor track). It triggers a short switching impulse when a vehicle axle passes over it, making it ideal for digital and analog layouts for controlling signals, accessories, or as a momentary feedback contact when used with feedback module 10787 or Detector 10808.

The sensor works reliably with wheelsets featuring a 1.1 mm flange height – the Roco standard. Using wheels with different flange heights may result in detection issues. The track includes interference suppression and integrated bounce protection for signal stability.

RocoLine tracks with rubber bedding are featured in Roco’s current starter sets. They can be used to expand basic layouts and combined with RocoLine tracks without bedding for permanent installations. Their wide, flexible rubber base with realistic gravel texture makes them suitable for both temporary and permanent setups.

Due to the scale-accurate bedding profile, trimming may be necessary when connecting to turnouts. Templates are included to assist with precise trimming.
