Individual track sections can be combined with RocoLine tracks without bedding, allowing full flexibility in layout design. Tracks with bedding – also referred to as ballasted tracks – are suitable for use directly on floors, including carpets, and can also be built into permanent layouts.

Due to the scaled profile of the bedding, overlaps may occur at branching points such as turnouts. In such cases, the bedding must be trimmed to fit. Cutting templates are included with Roco turnouts to make this process easier and more precise.
