Description

1 Man Army Paint Mask Set for Heinkel He 111 H-6 Markings (Border Model) 1:35 Scale

1 Man Army 35DET006 is a set of precision laser-cut paint masks designed for painting national insignia, unit codes, and stencil markings directly onto the surface of the Border Model Heinkel He 111 H-6 aircraft kit in 1:35 scale. The masks are dimensionally matched to this specific model kit and allow the modeler to replace decals with painted markings, eliminating visible carrier film edges and the risk of decal silvering.

The masks are cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking tape intended for modeling applications. The set includes an illustrated placement guide showing the correct positioning of all markings on the aircraft. The masks are designed for airbrush application.

Inside the box you will find:

  • Self-adhesive mask sheet with laser-cut markings
  • Illustrated marking placement guide

Paint stencil masks – a modern alternative to decals

Paint stencil masks are accessories intended for modelers who want to reproduce national insignia, unit codes, tactical numbers, and stencil markings by painting them directly onto the model instead of using decals. Painted markings sit directly on the paint layer, so they do not have visible carrier film edges or the risk of silvering, which can occur when decals are applied over a matte surface.

1 Man Army masks are laser-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking tape adapted for delicate model surfaces. The recommended application method is to transfer the mask onto the model using transfer tape, press down the edges firmly, apply a thin layer of paint with an airbrush, and remove the mask after the paint has dried. The masks are intended for single use, and the recommended application time should not exceed a few days — leaving them on the model longer may make clean removal more difficult. The surface onto which the masks are applied should be clean, dry, degreased, and fully cured.

About the aircraft – Heinkel He 111 H-6:

The Heinkel He 111 was a German twin-engine medium bomber that formed the backbone of the Luftwaffe’s bomber force during the first half of World War II. Designed by brothers Siegfried and Walter Günter at Heinkel Flugzeugwerke, the aircraft made its maiden flight on February 24, 1935. Initially presented as a fast passenger aircraft for Deutsche Lufthansa, it had in fact been developed from the beginning with military applications in mind, allowing Germany to circumvent the restrictions of the Treaty of Versailles.

The aircraft took part in the major aerial operations of the early war years: the Battle of Britain, the Balkan campaign, the Blitz bombing campaign against London, combat over the Eastern Front, and operations over the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Its characteristic fully glazed nose cockpit, elliptical wings, and streamlined fuselage made the He 111 one of the most recognizable aircraft of the Luftwaffe. More than 6,500 examples of all variants were produced, while licensed production in Spain (CASA 2.111) continued into the 1950s.

The H-6 version, produced from 1941 onward, was one of the most successful and widely used variants of the entire family. Powered by two Junkers Jumo 211F-1 or F-2 engines, the aircraft featured strengthened defensive armament and increased bomb-carrying capacity, significantly improving its combat capabilities. The He 111 H-6 could carry standard SC 250 bombs internally or — in anti-shipping configuration — two LT F5b aerial torpedoes or heavy SC 1000 bombs mounted externally beneath the fuselage. In this role, the H-6 played an important part in attacks against Allied convoys in the Atlantic, North Sea, and Mediterranean.
