A set of photo-etched brass aslant railings intended for ship stairs inclined at a 45-degree angle, in 1:700 scale. The railings match the flight of stairs connecting the individual decks of the model.

The parts complement the stairs and railings on the ship model, creating a consistent, openwork finish. The plastic model is not included and is sold separately.

Photo-etched ship details – precise elements for ship models

Photo-etched aslant railings are thin railings matched to the inclination of ship stairs. They solve the problem of reproducing handrails alongside stairs, which cannot be faithfully moulded from plastic in 1:700 scale.

The slanted profile of the railings follows the flight of the stairs, so that the transitions between decks look realistic. It is a proposal for modellers detailing ship superstructures and decks.

How to use:

The individual parts are cut from the brass fret, and railings are gently bent along the edge of the deck or superstructure to match the shape of the model. The details are attached with cyanoacrylate glue and, once cured, can be painted with modelling paints in the colour of the hull or deck.
