This Academy 1:72 scale kit accurately represents the F-14D Tomcat flown by the US Navy’s VF-2 “Bounty Hunters” squadron. The D variant featured upgraded F110-GE-400 engines, advanced radar systems, and a fully digital cockpit. The kit includes swing wings, detailed crew cockpit, and modern weaponry.

About the F-14D Tomcat:
The F-14D was the final and most advanced version of the legendary Tomcat, featuring digital avionics, upgraded GE engines, and the powerful AN/APG-71 radar. It retained the capability to launch the long-range AIM-54 Phoenix missile and served as the US Navy’s premier fleet defense interceptor. VF-2 “Bounty Hunters” operated the F-14D until its retirement in 2006, flying from carriers like the USS Constellation and USS Abraham Lincoln.
