Ammo Mig 2063 ArmorFx – acrylic cast-texture paste

Ammo Mig 2063 ArmorFx is an acrylic texture paste developed to realistically recreate the rough, uneven surface of cast steel on scale models. It reproduces the distinctive texture seen on cast components such as turrets, gun mantlets, transmission housings and other cast parts.

The paste is ready to use and dries quickly, and its grey colour clearly reveals the texture as it is applied. Once fully dry, the surface can be painted and varnished with any modelling paints, and tools clean up with water. It comes in a convenient 20 ml tube.

How to use:

• Clean and prepare the surface of the model.
• Apply a thin coat with a stiff brush — a thicker consistency gives a more pronounced, irregular texture, while diluting with water gives subtler effects.
• Stipple the surface with the brush to build up the cast texture.
• Once dry, the coat can be lightly sanded and, if needed, further layers applied until the desired effect is reached.
• Allow the paste to dry completely before painting or varnishing.
