Ammo Mig 3049 is a high-quality modeling pigment in a metallic violet tone with a subtle sheen. It’s ideal for simulating oxidized metals, chemical residue, sci-fi vehicle panels, or fantasy figures. This pigment adds a unique finish to models and is perfect for projects requiring rich, otherworldly accents or experimental weathering effects.

• Made from natural materials and super-finely ground for excellent adhesion
• Can be applied dry with a brush or mixed with Enamel Odourless Thinner (A.MIG-2018)
• For permanent results, use Pigment Fixer (A.MIG-3000)
• Can also be airbrushed when properly diluted
• For application, the manufacturer recommends their dedicated pigment brush range

Modeling pigments – an easy and effective way to enhance realism

Modeling pigments are dry powders typically packaged in 35 ml containers. They come in various earthy and dusty shades to replicate dirt, mud, rust, and other natural effects on vehicles, figures, and dioramas. Some pigments mimic metallic surfaces or soot. They can be rubbed into the model surface for subtle effects or sprinkled heavily for textured buildup.

Pigments can be mixed with water or Enamel Odourless Thinner to create washes and streaking effects, or blended with acrylic texture pastes to simulate thick mud or clumps of earth in your chosen tone.

Until fixed with a pigment fixer, excess pigment can easily be removed using a cotton swab dampened with water or white spirit, allowing you to correct or adjust effects at any time.
