Amodel 1483 is a self-assembly kit reproducing the An-74TK-300D transport/passenger aircraft — a developed, re-engined variant of the An-72/74 family. In this version the engines were moved from above the wing to a conventional underwing position.

The model is produced using short-run injection technology. The kit includes clear parts and a photo-etched fret that enhances the reproduction of small details.

Building the model:

This short-run kit is aimed at experienced modellers — the parts require careful clean-up and test-fitting, and the small photo-etched parts precise assembly. It is worth masking the cabin glazing before painting.

The painting scheme depends on the chosen option in the instructions; transport aircraft of this family usually wore light civil colours. The decals are best applied over a gloss coat, and the finish sealed with a satin varnish.

The Antonov An-72/74 is a Soviet, later Ukrainian family of short take-off and landing transport aircraft, recognisable by its engines mounted above the wing, whose exhaust flowed over the upper wing surface (the Coanda effect), increasing lift. The distinctive silhouette earned the aircraft the nickname 'Cheburashka'.

The An-74TK-300 is a developed variant in which the engines were moved to a conventional underwing position. The 'TK' designation indicates a transport/passenger version with a convertible interior, adapted to carry cargo, passengers or a mixed configuration.
