Arma Hobby 70055 - 1:72 P-39Q Airacobra

Unassembled plastic model kit of an American fighter aircraft P-39Q Airacobra.
Scale of the model - 1/72
Airacobra is one of the most important constructions of the WWII period. An aircraft with a unique tricycle landing gear and other uncommon technical solutions. P-39 played a major role at the early stages of war on the Pacific, especially in the New Guinea and Solomon Islands. It was then relocated for trainning duties over the USA. Those aircrafts saw action in fights over Mediterranean sea where it remained in Allied service untill the end of the war. Large number of those aircrafts were send to the USSR as a part of the Lend-Lease program, where it remained as the frontline fighter untill the end of the war. Arma Hobby model kit is a newly designed and tooled model kit and in the box you will find parts to build this kit in variants ranging from P-39D to P-39Q.Set includes:
- plastic sprues with parts of the model
- waterslide decal sheet
- canopy and wheel painting masks
- assembly instructions with presentation of possible painting schemes
Paint and glue not included.
Unassembled model kit, requires cutting out and gluing the parts together.
Kit includes an assembly instructions which depicts the correct order of cutting out and gluing the parts together. Instruction also contains suggested paint numbers of different brands for painting the kit. Final step is to apply the included waterslide marking in the correct places as shown in the assembly instructions.
Building this model kit requires following basic tools:
- craft knife or sprue cutters
- small files or sandpapers in different gradations
- paintbrushes in different sizes
- glue for plastic model kits
- paint set chosen according to the instructions or with the help of our staff
- if the model kit includes resin or photoetched parts a CA type glue would be required
Arma Hobby is a Polish plastic model kit manufacturer. Their offer consists of aircraft model kits in 1/72 and 1/48 scale and is constantly developed and improved.
Their kits are characterized by the highest quality, a lot of details and a very good fit of the parts. Arma Hobby releases their models in “Model Kit” series that includes only plastic parts and decals and is aimed mostly at less experienced modellers, “Expert Set” that also contains photo etched details and painting masks as well as more marking options and is aimed at more experienced modellers. Also released are various limited and deluxe editions that include some additional, usually resin details. High quality of Arma Hobby kits and their great fit as well as wonderful details makes them a worthy recommendation for any modeller.
