About the Nakajima Ki‑115 “Tsurugi”:
The Ki‑115 “Tsurugi” was a rudimentary Japanese kamikaze aircraft developed in early 1945, built primarily from welded steel and wood. It was designed for suicide missions, with only 104 airframes completed by war’s end but never used in combat. Powered by a Nakajima Ha‑35 radial engine, it had a top speed around 515 km/h and could carry an 800 kg bomb, yet suffered from poor handling and ground operations.
