SPACE set – three-dimensional 3D decals for interior detail

SPACE are modern, three-dimensional self-adhesive decals produced with 3D printing. They combine realistic relief (raised structure) with a full, multi-colour print, so that details such as instrument panels, side consoles or other interior elements gain both depth and legible colour at once.

SPACE elements are transferred onto the model like decals: once peeled from the backing they are applied to the appropriate surfaces and pressed down. They require no painting or forming, which makes them a very quick and convenient way to finish a detail attractively.

About the aircraft – B-26C Marauder:

The Martin B-26 Marauder was an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War, powered by two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines. Its high wing loading and fast landing speed earned early examples a reputation as a demanding aircraft among crews. After training procedures were refined and the design modified, however, the Marauder proved to be one of the most effective bombers, recording one of the lowest combat loss rates in the USAAF in Europe.

The B-26C version was built at the Omaha plant and, together with the sister B series (from Baltimore), formed the backbone of the Marauder force operating over Western Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa. Aircraft of this variant struck bridges, transport hubs, airfields and fortifications, preparing the ground for the Allied invasion of the continent.

Original specifications (B-26C Marauder):

  • Length: approx. 17.8 m
  • Wingspan: approx. 21.6 m
  • Crew: 7
  • Powerplant: two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engines, approx. 1,900 hp each
  • Maximum speed: approx. 460 km/h
  • Range: approx. 1,800 km
  • Bomb load: up to approx. 1,800 kg
  • Defensive armament: 12.7 mm machine guns
