Brass photo-etched parts are one of the most popular additions to unassembled plastic model kits.

The technology of their production makes it possible to obtain very small and delicate details, unattainable with injection molding techniques. Most often, they are a much better-looking alternative to instrument panels, hooks, hangers, mounts, air intake cover grids, etc. For models produced with short run technology, they can be an essential part of the kit. Photo-etched parts most often require bending them according to etched lines to achieve the desired shape.

"Weekend" kits are plastic model without add-ons and are aimed at beginner modelers.
