Description

Eduard Brassin (3D print) engine exhaust nozzle set for the F-16I SUFA model in 1:48 scale

The Eduard 6481197 is a 3D-printed engine exhaust nozzle set tailored to the F-16I SUFA model in 1:48 scale (recommended kit: Great Wall Hobby). 3D printing makes it possible to reproduce the thin nozzle flaps and rings and their internal structure.

The parts replace the corresponding plastic part of the base kit, markedly increasing the realism of the rear fuselage section.

What's in the box:

  • 3D-printed engine exhaust nozzle – 6 parts

Set specifications:

  • Scale: 1:48
  • Catalogue number: 6481197
  • Manufacturer: Eduard (Brassin Print 3D line)
  • Recommended kit: Great Wall Hobby
  • Accessory type: engine exhaust nozzle
  • Material: 3D print

3D-printed parts – fine detail unattainable with injection moulding

Brassin Print 3D accessories are produced using direct 3D printing, a technology that reproduces very fine and spatially complex details that are difficult or impossible to achieve with classic injection moulding. The parts replace the corresponding plastic parts of the base kit, raising the level of detail of the finished model.

The 3D-printed parts should be cut from their printing supports, cleaned up and attached with cyanoacrylate glue. Because the details are delicate, it is worth using precision tweezers and working carefully. The printed parts take paint well once primed.

About the aircraft – F-16I SUFA:

The F-16I SUFA (Hebrew for "Storm") is the Israeli two-seat variant of the F-16, based on the Block 52+ version and developed by Lockheed Martin in cooperation with the Israeli aerospace industry. The aircraft is distinguished by conformal fuel tanks on the upper fuselage and an enlarged dorsal spine housing additional avionics, which considerably increases its range and its ability to perform missions deep in enemy territory.

The F-16I is one of the pillars of the Israeli air force, used for long-range strike missions and air defence. It is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229-class turbofan engine.
