3D-printed Brassin parts – detail unattainable in plastic

Brassin is Eduard's line of accessories made by direct 3D printing (and in some sets resin casting). The technology delivers very fine, three-dimensional detail and smooth surfaces, replacing selected parts of the base kit.

Parts are separated from the print supports and attached with cyanoacrylate glue. Given the nature of the material, it is worth working carefully and protecting the finest elements.

About the aircraft – Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4:

The Messerschmitt Bf 109K-4 is the last mass-produced variant of Germany's most famous WWII fighter. Introduced in late 1944, the 'Kurfürst' combined aerodynamic refinements, the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605D with MW 50 boost and a cleaned-up, standardised structure.

The K-4 was fast and well armed, but entered combat in the final period of the war, when the Luftwaffe suffered severe shortages of fuel and experienced pilots.

Original specifications (Bf 109K-4):

  • Length: approx. 8.85 m
  • Wingspan: approx. 9.92 m
  • Powerplant: Daimler-Benz DB 605D inline engine, approx. 2,000 hp with MW 50
  • Maximum speed: approx. 710 km/h
  • Armament: 1 x MK 108 30 mm cannon and 2 x MG 131 13 mm machine guns
  • Crew: 1
