Eduard 6481215 from the Brassin line is a set of gun barrels and armament elements for the Hampden TB Mk.I (torpedo bomber) by ICM in 1:48 scale, produced by 3D printing. They replace the simplified plastic parts.

  • Gun barrels and armament elements (3D print)
  • Illustrated assembly instructions

Set specifications:

  • Scale: 1:48
  • Catalogue no.: 6481215
  • Manufacturer: Eduard
  • Dedicated kit: Hampden TB Mk.I (torpedo bomber) (ICM kit)
  • Type: guns (3D print)
  • Material: 3D print

Guns – high-detail 3D printing

The set contains gun barrels and armament elements produced by direct 3D printing. They replace the simplified plastic parts, offering thin, sharp shapes and faithfully reproduced details that cannot be achieved with injection moulding.

The elements are fitted with cyanoacrylate adhesive. Delicate, precise armament considerably raises the level of detail of the model.

About the aircraft – Handley Page Hampden:

The Handley Page Hampden was a British twin-engine medium bomber of the early Second World War period. Because of its narrow, deep fuselage and long, slender rear section it earned the nicknames "Flying Suitcase" and "Tadpole". Together with the Wellington and the Whitley it formed the backbone of Bomber Command in the first years of the war.

Hampdens took part in night raids against targets in Germany and in laying sea mines. The TB Mk.I torpedo variant was adapted to carry an aerial torpedo and served with Coastal Command against enemy shipping, including in the demanding conditions of flights over the North Sea and Arctic waters.

Original specifications (Handley Page Hampden):

  • Length: approx. 16.3 m
  • Wingspan: approx. 21.1 m
  • Crew: 4
  • Powerplant: two Bristol Pegasus radial engines, approx. 1,000 hp each
  • Maximum speed: approx. 400 km/h
  • Range: approx. 1,900 km
  • Armament: bombs or a torpedo (TB Mk.I), defensive machine guns
