Rudder pedals – high-detail 3D printing

The set contains rudder pedals together with a section of bulkhead, produced by direct 3D printing. They replace the simplified plastic parts and add sharp, fine detail to the front of the cockpit.

The element is fitted with cyanoacrylate adhesive. It is a small but clearly visible accessory that completes the look of the cockpit interior.

About the aircraft – Messerschmitt Me 262:

The Messerschmitt Me 262 "Schwalbe" was the world's first jet fighter to enter combat service. Powered by two Junkers Jumo 004 turbojet engines mounted under the wings, it enjoyed a speed advantage of around 150 km/h over the best Allied piston fighters.

The A-1a version was the basic fighter variant, armed with four 30 mm cannon in the nose. Despite its revolutionary performance, the Me 262's potential was limited by unreliable, short-lived engines, fuel shortages and its too-late introduction into mass production. Nevertheless, the aircraft had an enormous influence on the development of post-war jet aviation.

Original specifications (Me 262A-1a):

  • Length: approx. 10.6 m
  • Wingspan: approx. 12.6 m
  • Crew: 1
  • Powerplant: two Junkers Jumo 004B turbojets, approx. 8.8 kN thrust each
  • Maximum speed: approx. 870 km/h
  • Service ceiling: approx. 11,500 m
  • Armament: 4 × 30 mm MK 108 cannon
