Eduard 70147 - 1:72 MiG-21R

Plastic model kit of the MiG-21R reconnaissance jet aircraft

The Eduard 70147 kit represents the reconnaissance version of the famous Soviet MiG-21 fighter in 1/72 scale. The MiG-21R was designed for tactical and photographic reconnaissance missions during the Cold War and combined high speed with relatively small dimensions, allowing it to operate over heavily defended areas.

This ProfiPACK edition includes plastic parts produced by Eduard together with several detail-enhancing accessories. The set contains photo-etched parts including pre-painted cockpit elements and painting masks for the canopy. The decal sheet allows the modeller to build one of five aircraft marking options used by air forces of the Eastern Bloc.

Note: The kit does not include glue, paints or modelling tools. The model is designed for self-assembly.

Model assembly

The model consists of plastic parts that must be removed from the sprues, cleaned and assembled according to the instructions. The included photo-etched parts enhance the level of detail, particularly in the cockpit area. Painting masks are also included to help with precise masking of the canopy during painting.
