  • Mask placement instructions

  • Manufacturer: Eduard
  • Dedicated kit: CASA C-212-100 from Special Hobby
  • Accessory type: canopy painting masks
  • Material: yellow Kabuki masking paper, machine-cut

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – CASA C-212 Aviocar — Spanish light transport aircraft:

The CASA C-212 Aviocar is a Spanish twin-engine high-wing transport developed at the turn of the 1970s by CASA. Its simple, rugged design, with a box-section fuselage and rear loading ramp, eases loading and operation from rough airstrips.

The aircraft found wide civil and military use: passenger and cargo transport, paratroop drops, maritime patrol, aerial survey and special missions. It is powered by two Garrett/Honeywell TPE331 turboprops. Production took place in Spain and under licence in Indonesia; several hundred were built and used in many countries worldwide.

Original specifications (CASA C-212 Aviocar — Spanish light transport aircraft):
