Eduard EX096 is a set of self-adhesive 1:48 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Me 410 model from Revell/Monogram. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse:

The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a German twin-engine multirole aircraft, first flown in 1942 and developed from the flawed Me 210. It was an all-metal low-wing aircraft with a two-man crew and distinctive remotely operated defensive barbettes on the sides of the fuselage. It was powered by two Daimler-Benz DB 603 inline engines, which improved performance over its predecessor.

The Me 410 was used as a heavy fighter, bomber destroyer, ground-attack and reconnaissance aircraft. It appeared in numerous armament variants, including versions with heavy cannon for engaging bomber formations. Despite better handling than the Me 210, it remained vulnerable to single-engine escort fighters. About 1,100 examples were built, used mainly in the defense of the Reich and over the Western and Mediterranean fronts.
