Eduard EX1066 is a set of self-adhesive 1:48 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Bulldog Mk.II model from Airfix. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Bristol Bulldog Mk.II:

The Bristol Bulldog is a British single-seat fighter from the late 1920s and early 1930s, of the biplane configuration classic for that era. Its structure was made of steel, with fabric-covered fuselage and wings. It was powered by a Bristol Jupiter radial engine. The aircraft was characterised by good manoeuvrability and simple maintenance, making it a typical interwar fighter.

The Bulldog was one of the RAF's main fighters at the turn of the 1920s and 1930s, serving in the air defence of Britain before being replaced by more modern low-wing designs. It was also used by the air forces of several other countries. Its armament was two synchronised 7.7 mm machine guns. About 440 aircraft of all versions were built.
