Precisely cut painting masks designed for the Spitfire Tr.9 kit in 1:48 scale by Airfix. The TFace version enables masking of both the inner and outer canopy surfaces as well as wheel hubs, providing a realistic finish for the cockpit glazing and undercarriage.

Painting masks
Painting masks are an accessory that makes work easier for modelers using an airbrush. They protect the transparent parts of the model (such as canopy, lights, etc.), and often also wheel hubs. The masks are factory-cut to match the parts of a specific kit – information about compatibility is printed on the packaging. It is worth checking whether the chosen set covers the entire glazing, or if the central parts need to be protected with liquid mask. The masks are made of yellow masking paper. Depending on the set, the sheet may also include elements for masking the inner side of the glazing.
