Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp glazing edges without a brush

Eduard masks are laser-cut from low-tack yellow self-adhesive (Kabuki-type) paper, dimensioned for a specific kit. They let you precisely mask the canopy framing and other transparencies, as well as the wheel hubs, so that after spraying you get perfectly sharp, straight edges without having to cut tape by hand.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to a clean, degreased surface, press the edges down firmly, spray the paint with an airbrush and, once dry, gently remove the masks. This keeps the transparencies clear and the frames even and clean.

About the aircraft – Blackburn Buccaneer S.2:

The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British twin-engine strike aircraft designed to attack maritime and land targets from very low level, beneath enemy radar coverage. Originally created for the Royal Navy as a carrier aircraft, it later also served with the Royal Air Force. Its distinctive, rugged airframe and capacious rotating-door bomb bay allowed it to carry a heavy weapons load.

The S.2 version received economical Rolls-Royce Spey turbofan engines, greatly increasing range and performance compared with the earlier S.1. The S.2D variant was adapted to carry Martel guided missiles. The Buccaneer remained in service for decades, taking part in operations over the Persian Gulf, among others.
