Eduard EX660 is a set of self-adhesive 1:48 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Si 204D model from Special Hobby. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Siebel Si 204:

The Siebel Si 204 was a German twin-engine aircraft developed in the late 1930s as a light communications and transport machine, later used mainly for training. It was an all-metal low-wing monoplane with retractable landing gear and a heavily glazed, forward-set cockpit, powered by two Argus As 411 inline engines.

During the war the Si 204 was produced on a large scale, including in factories in France and Bohemia, for training multi-engine crews and instruction in navigation, bombing and instrument flying. After the war production continued in Czechoslovakia as the Aero C-3 and in France as the NC.700. These machines remained in civil and military service for many years.
