Eduard EX676 is a set of self-adhesive 1:48 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Ar 68E model from Roden. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Arado Ar 68:

The Arado Ar 68 was a German single-engine biplane fighter of the 1930s, designed by the Arado works. The prototype flew in 1934 and the aircraft entered Luftwaffe service in 1936 as one of the first fighters of the rebuilt German air force. It had mixed construction, with a fabric-covered metal-framed fuselage and an open cockpit.

The Ar 68 served as a day and later a night fighter before being superseded by the monoplane Messerschmitt Bf 109. Its armament consisted of two machine guns. The aircraft was also used as a trainer and for night operations in the early period of the Second World War. Several hundred were built in variants differing mainly in engine.
