Eduard LX002 is a set of 1:24 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Typhoon Mk.Ib Car Door model from Airfix. They are made as a yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp, repeatable edges. The kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges.

They are applied to clean, degreased glazing, the edges are pressed down and the paint is airbrushed, then removed once dry. The masks are intended for single use.

About the aircraft – United Kingdom:

The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber, originally designed as a high-altitude interceptor. It was a heavy low-wing aircraft with a thick wing profile, powered by the large Napier Sabre H-configuration inline engine. Early examples suffered from engine problems and structural defects in the rear fuselage.

Poor high-altitude performance led the Typhoon to find its purpose as a fighter-bomber and ground-attack aircraft at low and medium altitudes. Armed with cannon, unguided rockets and bombs, it played a significant role in destroying ground targets during the Western Europe campaign of 1944. The Mk.Ib was the standard combat variant.
