Metal tracks for self-assembly designed for German Panther tank models with late type tracks in 1/48 scale.

The kit includes individual links for making left and right track runs, as well as brass wire of the appropriate diameter to connect the links together.

Cast white metal tracks are the best way to make a very realistic drive for our model tank or vehicle. When assembled correctly, they retain mobility like their real counterparts, and their weight causes them to form natural overhangs on the support wheels. In addition, after they are assembled and degreased, they can be dipped in a special liquid (such as AK Interactive 159 or Ammo Mig 2020), which will oxidize them, giving them a realistic shade of dark metal. After such treatment, they become proprietary ready to get dirty and put on the model. Assembling the metal tracks does not require any special tools - all you need is a metal file to remove any casting residue, pliers to cut the wire and a hand drill with a drill bit of the same diameter as the wire included in the kit for joining the individual links - it is not necessary to drill every link, but it may happen that in some you will need to correct the mounting holes to accommodate the wire. If it enters too loosely you can gently secure it on one side with cyanoacrylate glue. For health and safety reasons, we recommend using rubber gloves when assembling and oxidizing white metal tracks.
