Description

A set of airbrush parts from Harder & Steenbeck:

  • Manufacturer's part number - 712362
  • needle 0.28 mm
  • needle 0.28 mm
  • open nozzle and needle cover 0.28 mm

This triple shield protection kit is dedicated to Crplus series airbrush: Evolution 2024, Giraldez and Kiev Infinity, but it can also be used on Ultra, Ultra 2024, Grafo and all other versions of Evolution and Infinity models.

With the needle guard open, you can get smaller spots or thinner lines when painting. However, be careful not to damage the needle when accidentally hitting the painted part with the needle

If the needle in the airbrush is crooked, it should be replaced. A crooked needle in the airbrush causes uneven paint dispensing, paint spitting and clogging of the airbrush. The needle is pulled back after unscrewing the needle lock nut. When inserting the needle, it is best to unscrew the nozzle cap, remove the nozzle and insert the needle with the blunt end from the front of the airbrush. Move the needle backward until the sharp end is not visible and screw the nozzle cap together with the nozzle. Then gently push the needle forward until you feel resistance and turn the needle lock.

If the nozzle in the airbrush is crooked, cracked or crushed the airbrush will not work properly. In this case, replace the nozzle with a new one. Symptoms such as paint spitting, clogging of the airbrush, irregular flow of paint, large dust may indicate a damaged nozzle. Clean the airbrush thoroughly and inspect the nozzle, preferably under a magnifying glass. If it shows no signs of damage, it is possible that replacement of the nozzle seal will suffice.

Choosing the right size nozzle, needle and cover is very important. All these components must be the same size for the airbrush to work properly. Wearing different sized components can lead to damage to the nozzle, for example, by inserting a needle that is too thick. A nozzle made by Harder & Steenbeck can be easily distinguished by the number of grooves on the body. The 0.28 mm nozzle has two thin grooves. At the end of the corresponding firing pin you will find an embossing with two thicker lines in the center.

What is an airbrush used for ?

Aerograph is a miniature gun for precise painting. It sprays paint using a stream of compressed air. Therefore, an airbrush will not work on its own, but requires connection to a source of compressed air. The most common is a compressor, which continuously pumps air into the airbrush or refills it in a cylinder attached to the compressor. It is also possible to paint with cylinders filled with compressed air, but this solution is less convenient, gives an inferior effect, more expensive and therefore not recommended. Aerographs are excellent tools for painting models, graphics, artwork, hobby and even confectionery.

The Harder and Steenbeck Company (after the names of founders August Harder and Wilhelm Steenbeck) is a well-established German manufacturer of airbrushes and accessories for precise spray painting.

Being on the market for almost 100 years, it started by producing small electronic equipment for radios, then produced teaching aids and small parts for cars. In the '50s, the company began producing the first airbrushes, mainly for professional industrial use. In the mid '90s it entered the consumer market in earnest with the Grafo and Colani models. It gained popularity and position in the late '90s when it introduced the Evolution model, which is still present today, and a few years later the Ultra and Infinity. In 2024, new airbrush models Ultra 2024, Evolution CRplus 2024 and Infinity and 2024 were launched on the market. In addition to the highest precision and quality of workmanship using the best materials, the main feature of H&S airbrushes is the universal nozzle attachment on most models, as well as the high modularity that allows you to customize the airbrush exactly to your needs. H&S airbrushes are user and cleaning friendly and will work great with any type of model paints.
