Hasegawa 20806 is a kit for self-assembly representing the Italian Lancia 037 Rally car. The car belonged to the famous Group B and was the last rear-wheel-drive car to take the manufacturers' title in the World Rally Championship.

This release includes a new decal sheet reproducing the winning car of the 1985 Rally Limone. The model faithfully captures the 037's distinctive wedge-shaped silhouette.

Assembly:

The model is recommended for modellers with some experience. The interior and underbody are best painted before final assembly. The distinctive rally livery is reproduced by an extensive decal sheet, whose careful application has a decisive effect on the final result.

The colours and marking layout are given in the instructions. The body is usually finished with a clear coat for gloss, and decals are best applied over a glossy surface to avoid decal silvering.

• Modelling nippers for removing parts from the sprues
• Modelling knife or scalpel
• Files and sandpaper for cleaning up sprue-gate marks
• Plastic cement
• Brushes in various sizes
• Modelling paints (acrylic, enamel or automotive lacquers)

About the car – Lancia 037 Rally:

The Lancia 037 Rally is an Italian rally car developed for Group B competition in the early 1980s. The design stood out for its mid-mounted, supercharged engine and rear-wheel drive.

In 1983 the Lancia 037 brought the marque the manufacturers' title in the World Rally Championship – the last time that title was won by a car driven by the rear axle alone, at a time when rivals were already introducing four-wheel drive.

The Lancia 037 competed in numerous rallies around the world. The Hasegawa model allows the winning car of the 1985 Rally Limone to be reproduced.
