Hasegawa 20810 is a kit for self-assembly representing the Italian Lancia Stratos HF rally car. This car was the first vehicle designed from scratch specifically for rallying and became one of the most successful cars in the sport's history.

This release reproduces a car competing in the 1980 Monte-Carlo Rally. The model allows the headlights to be built in the raised or lowered position, and the distinctive rally livery is reproduced by the decal sheet.

Assembly:

The model is recommended for modellers with some experience. Before assembly it is worth deciding whether the headlights should be raised or lowered. The interior and underbody are best painted before final assembly, and the rich rally livery reproduced with a carefully applied decal sheet.

The colours and marking layout are given in the instructions. The body is usually finished with a clear coat for gloss, and decals are best applied over a glossy surface to avoid decal silvering.

The Lancia Stratos HF is an Italian rally car from the 1970s, regarded as the first vehicle designed from scratch specifically for rallying. Its distinctive wedge-shaped silhouette was the work of the Bertone studio, and power came from a mid-mounted V6 engine.

The Stratos dominated rallying in the second half of the 1970s, taking successive championship titles and wins in the most important events, including the prestigious Monte-Carlo Rally. Even after Lancia's works campaigns ended, these cars continued to race successfully in the colours of private teams.

The Hasegawa model allows a Stratos competing in the 1980 Monte-Carlo Rally to be reproduced.
