IJN Mikasa – Japanese Battleship from 1905 – 1/700 Scale Model – Hasegawa
This kit represents the pre-dreadnought battleship Mikasa, the flagship of Admiral Tōgō during the Russo-Japanese War. The model depicts the ship during the pivotal Battle of Tsushima in 1905, where the Imperial Japanese Navy achieved a decisive victory. About the IJN Mikasa:
The IJN Mikasa was a pre-dreadnought battleship built in the UK for the Imperial Japanese Navy and launched in 1900. It was armed with four 12-inch guns and saw action as the flagship in the Battle of Tsushima, a landmark naval victory for Japan. Today, Mikasa is preserved as a museum ship in Yokosuka, Japan.
