Building the model:

With its modest parts count and the included paints, glue and brush, the model is a good choice for starting out in modelling. For the bodywork, the intense red typical of fire vehicles works well, set off by black and metallic details (lamps, bell, ladder and fittings). It is worth applying the decals over a gloss coat and then sealing them with a satin or matt varnish — this prevents decal silvering.
