The E-2C Hawkeye is a carrier-based airborne early warning and control (AEW) aircraft serving as a flying command center for naval task forces. Operated by the French Navy (Marine Nationale) from the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, it provides airspace surveillance, fighter control and early threat detection. This 1:72 scale Heller kit accurately represents the distinctive silhouette of the Hawkeye with its large rotating radar dome mounted above the fuselage.

Assembly
The kit includes plastic parts to build the fuselage, wings, twin turboprop engines and the distinctive radar dome. Careful assembly and precise painting are required to achieve an accurate representation of a French Navy operational aircraft. Decals allow finishing the model in authentic Marine Nationale service markings.

About the E-2C Hawkeye:
The E-2 Hawkeye was developed in the United States as a carrier-based airborne early warning aircraft for the US Navy. The E-2C version introduced the advanced AN/APS-145 radar housed in a large rotating radome above the fuselage. Powered by two turboprop engines, the aircraft is capable of long endurance patrol missions. France remains the only export operator of the Hawkeye, flying it from the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. The E-2C plays a vital role in fleet air defence, coordinating fighter aircraft and providing real-time situational awareness.
