The MN Hobby 72MN001 kit represents the Aero L-29 Delfin, the standard jet trainer aircraft of most Warsaw Pact countries during the 1960s and 1970s. Produced in Czechoslovakia, the Delfin became one of the most widely used jet trainers in the world, with over 3,600 units built.

About the Aero L-29 Delfin:

The Aero L-29 Delfin was the first jet trainer aircraft developed in Czechoslovakia. Selected in 1961 as the standard trainer for Warsaw Pact air forces (except Poland and the USSR, which used it in smaller numbers), it served in 30 countries worldwide. Robust, simple to operate, and reliable, it was ideal for preparing pilots for jet combat aircraft. The L-29 also saw limited combat use in Africa and the Middle East.
