The Cranberry Red Pearl from the Mr. Color Revival series is a recreation of a popular color previously offered by Mr.Hobby. It was also released as a 40th-anniversary special color and originally came from the AUTO COLOR spray line – designed to replicate real car paint finishes. The deep, rich red with a pearl shimmer is ideal for painting car models and other miniatures requiring an elegant, eye-catching finish. Best results are achieved over a black base coat.

Mr.Hobby C series paints are premium-quality solvent-based acrylic paints, offering perfect color accuracy, rich tones, unmatched durability, and finish quality.

They have a strong smell from the organic solvents used in their formulation, which is why they are sometimes mistakenly called "nitrocellulose" paints. Unlike typical water-based or vinyl acrylics, Mr. Color paints do not clog airbrushes and are easy to clean from tools. When properly thinned, they are among the best paints for airbrushing. The full palette includes over 220 aviation, armor, naval, and automotive colors. Shades are designed to accurately reproduce original tones with various finishes – matte, semi-gloss, or gloss.

Brush painting – according to the manufacturer – is possible, but our experience shows that it's very difficult and gives poor results. We don't recommend those paints for paintbrushing. If you don't own an airbrush, we suggest that you use AK Interactive 3 Gen acrylics, Vallejo Model Color or Hataka from B(lue) line acrylic paints.

Before use, the paint should be thoroughly mixed and thinned. You can use Mr.Color Thinner (available in 50, 110, 250, and 400 ml bottles) or Mr.Color Leveling Thinner (available in 110 and 400 ml bottles) for this. Using the leveling thinner makes application easier and improves the final finish. We recommend thinning 1–1.5 parts paint to 3 parts thinner.

Mr.Color paints are very stable and can be stored for a long time in tightly sealed containers. If the paint thickens over time, Mr.Color Replenishing Agent can restore it to the proper consistency without affecting performance.

They are fast-drying, but depending on the amount and type of thinner used, they may require up to 24 hours to fully cure on the model.

These paints are suitable for plastic models and figures, as well as for painting metal and resin kits. They can be applied directly to the surface, but we recommend priming first for best adhesion.
