Mr.Hobby Mr. Mark Softer MS231 Decal Softening Solution – 40 ml
Mr. Mark Softer is a decal softening solution designed to be applied over decals that have already been placed on the model. It allows decals to conform smoothly to uneven, textured, and curved surfaces such as panel lines, rivets, and complex shapes.

The solution works quickly and effectively, so it should be applied sparingly. Excessive application may cause the decal to over-soften, tear, or damage the painted surface.
Usage tips:
- Apply the decal normally and allow it to settle on the surface.
- Apply a small amount of Mr. Mark Softer directly onto the decal.
- Gently press the decal with a damp cotton swab or a soft, lint-free cloth.
- Remove excess solution to prevent excessive softening.
- The product is water-soluble and can be diluted; a dilution of about 10% is recommended.
If air bubbles appear under the decal (silvering), allow the decal to dry, then carefully pierce it with a fine needle or blade. Reapply a small amount of Mr. Mark Softer to soften the decal again and eliminate trapped air.
The redesigned, environmentally friendly formula offers improved softening performance and reduces silvering even on semi-gloss or matte surfaces. Due to its increased dissolving power on water-based hobby paints, thorough paint curing and careful dilution are recommended.
