An airbrush filter / moisture trap is a useful accessory if you encounter problems with high humidity where you paint.

Filter traps moisture that might gather in the air hose and prevents it from entering the airbrush and mixing with the sprayed paint which might cause splatters and other problems. This filter can be attached anywhere between air compressor and airbrush but it's most efficient when attached directly to the airbrush.

Consider such filter also when you have a long air hose - in this case the moisture trap on the compressor might not be sufficient enough.
