EX line by Mr.Hobby is a new line of markers that will give better coverage, deeper colour and less streaks compared to the standard series - especially in case of metallic colours.

Painting marker with a precise, flat tip cut at 45 degrees (similar to highlighter). Very good for painting slightly bigger parts and surfaces. Filled with fast drying, alcohol-based acrylic paints.

Paint markers made by Mr.Hobby are designed mainly for painting and accenting details of mecha model kits from popular Gundam series. They will however also find their use in other branches of model making.

They are divided into few subcategories, that allows easy selecting proper pen for your needs. All markers are filled with an alcohol based paint or ink, which will provide adequate adhesion even to unpainted plastic at the same being easy to remove if you made a mistake. Using paint markers you can quickly paint larger model elements as well as acent the panel lines or even make weathering effects.

Colours were chosen to recreate the ones used in Gundam models and to be as close as possible to the coloured plastic used in the kits. They are also equivalent to the respective colours from the UG (Gundam Color) line paints.

Paint markers are a convenient way of supplementing the model maker's workshop.

They are great for touching up small imperfections or quickly painting small, colorful details like knobs, switches etc. Marker's precision depends on the tip it has - it's always worth checking it before buying one. Also available are special markers for accenting panel lines that feature very precise tips. Paint in marker pens can be an enamel type (e.g. Tamiya markers) or an alcohol based acrylic paint. Special chrome markers giving a mirror like surface are also available. They will not replace paintbrush or an airbrush but can be of great help with smaller works when we won't need to set up the whole painting equipment for a few fine details.
