Analog or digital control – what to choose?

Digital systems allow multiple locomotives to run independently on the same track. In analog mode, all locomotives respond simultaneously to changes in track voltage. Digital layouts use constant voltage and send individual commands to each engine, allowing for more flexible and realistic operation, even on compact layouts.

About the EP09 locomotive:

The EP09 is a fast passenger electric locomotive built for PKP by H. Cegielski in Poznań between 1986 and 1997. Designed for speeds up to 160 km/h, only 47 units were produced. They quickly became a backbone of intercity rail services on key routes such as Warsaw–Kraków, Warsaw–Gdynia, and Warsaw–Wrocław.

Unit 015 is one of the notable examples of the class, frequently seen hauling express trains. Equipped with modern systems for its time, including support for coach heating systems, the EP09 series played a vital role in the modernization of Polish passenger rail during the 1990s and early 2000s.

This model in historical PKP livery is ideal for collectors and enthusiasts interested in the transition period of Polish railway history.
