The Revell 63363 kit represents the German Flakpanzer IV “Möbelwagen” self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle in 1:72 scale. The vehicle was developed during World War II to provide mobile air defence for German armored units against increasing Allied air attacks.

The design was based on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank and was armed with the powerful 3.7 cm Flak 43 anti-aircraft gun. A distinctive feature of the vehicle was the set of four large armored plates surrounding the gun. These plates were raised during transport and folded down during combat, forming a firing platform for the gun crew.

About the Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen

The Flakpanzer IV “Möbelwagen” was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle developed on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. It entered service in 1944 as one of the early attempts to provide mobile air defence for German armored formations.

The vehicle was armed with a 3.7 cm Flak 43 anti-aircraft gun capable of engaging low-flying aircraft. Four large armored side panels protected the crew during movement and were lowered during combat to allow the gun crew to operate the weapon effectively.
