H0 scale Silberling passenger coach set DB Era IV

This set includes two “Silberling” passenger coaches operated by Deutsche Bundesbahn, finished in Era IV livery. These models represent classic regional coaches that were widely used across Germany for decades.

About Silberling coaches:

Known as “Silberlinge,” the n-type coaches were among the most widely produced passenger cars of Deutsche Bundesbahn. Introduced in the 1960s, over 5,000 units were built, making them the backbone of regional rail services for decades. Their stainless steel appearance gave them their nickname. During the 1970s and 1980s, various modifications were introduced, including new liveries, class markings, and advertising panels.

These coaches were extensively used on routes around Freiburg, including the Rheintalbahn and Höllentalbahn, and remained in service until the 1990s when they were gradually replaced by modern multiple units and double-deck coaches.
