Special Hobby 48240 – 1:48 Romeo Ro.43 "Spanish Service"
This 1:48 scale plastic model kit from Special Hobby represents the Italian reconnaissance floatplane IMAM Romeo Ro.43, here in the markings of Spanish naval aviation during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939). Originally designed for use aboard Italian warships, a small number of Ro.43 aircraft were supplied to Spain, where they were employed for maritime patrol and reconnaissance missions.

About the IMAM Romeo Ro.43:
The Ro.43 was a two-seat, biplane reconnaissance floatplane designed by the Italian company IMAM in the 1930s. Primarily deployed aboard cruisers and battleships of the Italian Navy, a few aircraft were also transferred to Spain, where they were used for coastal reconnaissance during the Spanish Civil War. Though outdated by WWII, the Ro.43 served in niche roles thanks to its seaborne capability.
