Very Fire 1:350 detail-up set for IJN Taihō aircraft carrier – complete Part A+B+C
The Very Fire VF350901UP is a full upgrade set (Parts A+B+C) dedicated to 1:350 scale models of the Japanese aircraft carrier Taihō. It provides a wealth of additional details, enhancing both the ship itself and its air group for maximum realism.
The set includes:
- Photo-etched parts with railings, elevators, platforms and superstructure details
- Turned metal barrels for anti-aircraft guns
- Resin parts reproducing deck equipment and fittings
- Plastic aircraft in 1:350 scale
- Decals for the carrier-based aircraft
Note: The base model kit is not included.
This set is recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers. It requires precision tools and cyanoacrylate glue for resin and metal parts. With its comprehensive content, the set allows you to recreate Taihō with exceptional accuracy, including its aircraft complement.
About IJN Taihō:
IJN Taihō was a Japanese aircraft carrier commissioned in March 1944. It was the first Japanese carrier built with an armored flight deck, intended to improve survivability in combat. Taihō participated in the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June 1944, where it was sunk after being hit by a torpedo that caused catastrophic fuel vapor explosions. Its loss highlighted the vulnerability of Japan’s carrier fleet in the later stages of the Pacific War.
