SPACE set – pre-painted, dimensional 3D cockpit decals

SPACE is an Eduard line combining pre-painted, dimensional (3D) decals reproducing the instrument panel, cockpit sidewalls and seatbelts, reproduced directly on the dimensional 3D decals. The 3D decals have a tangible texture and depth, so the dials and switches look realistic without the need to hand-paint the small details.

The self-adhesive decals are applied directly to the cockpit parts from the kit, including the seatbelts onto the seat. It is a quick way to significantly raise the realism of the model's interior. The parts are designed for a specific plastic kit.

About the aircraft – Heinkel He 219A-7 Uhu:

The Heinkel He 219 Uhu ("Eagle Owl") is a German twin-engined night fighter, one of the most advanced designs of its class during the Second World War. The aircraft was notable for its tricycle landing gear, sophisticated avionics and radar for detecting targets at night, and it was one of the first production aircraft fitted with ejection seats. The A-7 version was among the late, heavily armed variants.

The He 219 proved effective against British night bombers, but its complex design and production constraints meant it was built in relatively small numbers. The crew consisted of a pilot and a radar operator.

Original aircraft specifications (Heinkel He 219A-7 Uhu):

  • Length: approx. 15.5 m
  • Wingspan: approx. 18.5 m
  • Powerplant: 2 × Daimler-Benz DB 603 inline engines
  • Maximum speed: approx. 615 km/h
  • Crew: 2 (pilot and radar operator)
  • Armament: 20 mm and 30 mm cannon
  • Manufacturer: Heinkel
