Eduard JX250 is a set of self-adhesive 1:32 masks for painting the canopy framing and other glazing, and the wheel hubs, tailored to the Gloster Gladiator Mk.I model from ICM. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The base kit is not included.

Self-adhesive painting masks – crisp canopy frame edges

Eduard masks are self-adhesive stencils die-cut from low-tack yellow Kabuki masking paper suited to delicate model surfaces. They cover the clear areas of the glazing and leave only the canopy framing exposed, so that after airbrushing you get sharp, even frame edges – hard to achieve when masking by hand with tape.

The recommended method is to apply the masks to clean, degreased glazing, press the edges down firmly and then airbrush the paint. Once the paint has dried, the masks are removed. The masks are intended for single use and should not be left on the model for a long time.

About the aircraft – Gloster Gladiator / Sea Gladiator:

The Gloster Gladiator is a British biplane fighter developed by Gloster in the mid-1930s. It was the last production biplane fighter of the Royal Air Force. Compared with earlier designs it gained an enclosed cockpit canopy, flaps and a braked undercarriage. The metal frame was partly covered with sheet and fabric. It entered service in 1937, on the threshold of the era of fast monoplane fighters.

The Gladiator fought in the early period of the Second World War, including over Norway, Malta, Greece and East Africa, and in the air forces of several other countries. The carrier-borne Sea Gladiator variant differed in being adapted for service on aircraft carriers: it received an arrester hook, reinforcements and a dinghy container under the fuselage. About 750 examples of all versions were built in total.
