Fore Art 3002 – 1:350 HMS Coventry Type 42 Guided Missile Destroyer (Batch I)
This kit represents the British Type 42 guided missile destroyer HMS Coventry (Batch I) in 1:350 scale. HMS Coventry played a prominent role during the 1982 Falklands War before being sunk by Argentine aircraft. The model by Fore Art offers superb detail and captures the ship’s configuration during its active service, including fine photo-etched parts and realistic weapon systems.

About HMS Coventry:
HMS Coventry (D118) was a Batch I Type 42 guided missile destroyer built for the Royal Navy in the 1970s. Armed with the Sea Dart missile system and a 4.5-inch naval gun, it served as an escort for carrier groups. During the Falklands War, Coventry operated in air defense roles off the islands’ coast until it was sunk by Argentine aircraft on May 25, 1982. The ship’s story is a reminder of the challenges and vulnerabilities of modern naval warfare.
